The Buchenberg

• District of Buching located on the main road B17, you'll find the station .
• Our double chairlift brings you up to 1142 m above sea level.
• A fantastic view over the valley with the Forggensee and eleven other lakes deliver an unforgettable panorama view.
• Also, a hiking path leads you up to the mountain or you can start your hiking day from the Buchenberg alp.

Kenzenhut and Kenzenbus

Open 1st May to 3rd Sunday in October.
The hut is located 1300 m above sea level in the middle of the nature conservation area of the Ammer mountains.

The rustic lodge is an ideal starting point for hiking and high alpine tours:
for example, hiking from hut to hut like Brunnenkopf or Buchenberg alp or Tegelberg house.
From the Kenzen car park (Halblech) you can hike to the Kenzenhut, or with a mountainbike, or go with the bus (one way 12 km)

Hiking bus and timetable

The company Schwarz takes you by minibus through the wild and romantic Halblech valley to Wankerfleck and to the Kenzenhut (1300 m). Return trip 24 km.

• The buses operate between May ( Ascension Thursday) to 3rd. Sunday in October.
• Mountain tours starting from Kenzen parking place in Halblech:

• 8.am, 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 3.30 pm, and 5 pm, and on
Saturdays & Sundays and public holidays additionally at 7 am.

You need help? We carry you safely up to the mountain and back. Our chairlifts and bus will assist you to enjoy a "must have" apple-strudel or other typical snacks from this area. Be welcome in one of our huts.
