Halblech is located right in the centre of Allgäu and close to Upper Bavaria and Tirol.

• Reutte in Tirol (Austria). The fortress Ehrenberg and the longest suspension footbridge in the world (27 km)

• Castle ruin Falkenstein in Pfronten (28 km) and very close to the castle ruins of Eisenberg and Hohenfreyberg (12 km)

• Murnau located at Staffelsee. Gabriele-Münter-Haus (painter) and the Castle Museum (40 km)

• Garmisch-Partenkirchen with Partnachklamm and the famous ski-jumping-slope (54 km). Continue to Zugspitze (2962m) - approach to Eibsee (10 km)
